This October in Bangkok you can do free sunset yoga in Benchakitti Park, lie still through a yoga nidra night set to Berlin club sound, flow inside an aquarium tunnel, or train with teachers who’ll change how you practise. There’s something for the advanced practitioner, for anyone after a new experience, and for anyone who just wants to find their people. Here’s what’s on.
In short: five free or low-cost community classes, three trainings and workshops, four one-off yoga experiences and two studio deals, all in Bangkok in October 2026.
Free yoga in Bangkok this October
Not every class needs a studio membership. These are the easiest way to meet people who practise. PAVANAR runs community classes regularly, so keep an eye on their Instagram too.
- Sunset With You · Sundays, 17:30 · Benchakitti Park amphitheatre · Free. A gentle flow, then everyone lies back and watches the sky. Bring a mat or nothing at all; it’s the easiest first stop if you’ve just arrived.
- Community class with Mint · Sat 3 Oct, 08:00 · PAVANAR · Free. A welcome class for the studio’s new teacher, and a good chance to see the space before you commit.
- Open house with Eve · Sat 10 Oct, 12:00 · Limber Studio · ฿300. A flexibility and mobility hour, and an easy way to try the studio.
- Yoga with blocks and straps · Saturdays, 10:30 · Decathlon Fashion Island · Free. One hour, taught in Thai. Out east, so worth it if you live nearby.
- Stretching for runners · Sundays, 10:30 · Decathlon Fashion Island · Free. One hour. Made for runners, open to anyone with tight hips.
Yoga workshops and teacher training in Bangkok
If you’ve practised for a while and want to go deeper, these are the trainings and workshops worth your time.
- 200h & 300h Yoga & Mobility Teacher Training · 9–22 Nov · Limber Studio · by application. John and Diane teach yoga as control. You learn how the body is meant to move, not just the poses, so you leave with the knowledge to deepen your own practice or to teach it to your community. Full disclosure: I attended cohort 1 of this course and 100% recommend it.
- Built to Practice · 28–29 Nov · The Yoga Shala · ฿6,750 early bird, ฿8,000 regular. A two-day workshop by The Resilient Yogi on building a practice that lasts a lifetime, with strength and mobility work that complements your yoga.
- Backbend workshop with Eunha · Sat 10 Oct, 14:00 · Yogatique · ฿950 if booked by 3 Oct, then ฿1,300. Hands-on adjustments to find what’s holding your backbend back. All levels.
Experiences
Not all of these involve much movement. What they share is the senses: sound you can feel, water all around you, music played live.
- Hard Core Yoga Nidra · Sat 3 Oct, 18:00 or 20:00 · Begrüntes Haus · ฿400. The boldest event this month. You lie still while deep Berlin club bass fills the room, and you feel it in your chest as much as you hear it.
- Yoga & Sound by the River · Sun 4 Oct, 17:00 · The Salil Hotel Riverside · ฿1,165. An hour of yoga with live sound healing, right on the Chao Phraya.
- Aquarium Yoga Vol. 2 · Sun 11 Oct, 07:30 · SEA LIFE, Siam Paragon · from ฿1,990. Back for a second round. You hold your poses in the tunnel while sharks and rays glide past overhead.
- Music as Medicine · Sat 17 Oct, 17:00 · Siam Patumwan House · price on request. A treat: a live classical concert you move to. With a pianist playing to the class, the vinyasa starts to feel close to dancing.
